Isaac's Quilt- May 9, 2007
This quilt was started spontaneously for baby Isaac, on the day he was born. I was at a school May Day festival outside, colorfully dressed children were running and laughing everywhere, a miniature horse was giving rides and I got the call saying that Isaac had finally arrived. That moment was frozen in time as I shouted across the lawn "He's here!!!" to everyone within earshot. It was gloriously breezy and sunny that day with clouds skittering across the sky, and the sunset clouds were orange, pink and coral... heavenly. I went home and started this quilt on the living room floor, choosing a simple pattern that would be easy to finish quickly and fabric that matched the color and liveliness of the special day.Pithy Details: Crib Size, Machine Pieced with cotton Batiks, Tied
